About This Service

Numbers Don't Lie

A chassis can look straight, drive straight, and still be 6mm out at a strut tower — enough to wear tyres, throw out alignment, and fail a cert. 3D measuring puts numbers on what's actually there: every reference point compared to factory data, in three dimensions, with a written report. Used pre-purchase, post-collision, and for cert sign-off.

  • Computerised 3D measurement system
  • Compared against factory data points
  • Written measurement report supplied
  • Independent of repair — measure first, decide after

Inclusions

What's Included

Full Scan

All factory reference points checked against manufacturer data.

Report

Written report showing each measurement vs factory tolerance.

Pre-Repair Use

Use measurement to decide whether a repair is worth doing.

Post-Repair Use

Verify chassis is back to spec after straightening.

How It Works

Our Process

  1. Vehicle In

Vehicle onto the measurement rig — adjustments made to access reference points.

  2. Reference Points

Factory data points captured in 3D — length, width, height for each location.

  3. Compare to Factory

Live comparison against the manufacturer's factory data sheet.

  4. Report

Written measurement report you can show to insurer, cert engineer, or buyer.

Our Work

Out of Line to On the Numbers

Measurement jobs from the bench. Run your eye across the seam — the deviation we found on one side, the factory data it matched on the other.

Same chassis re-measured back inside factory tolerance Measurement screen showing chassis points out of factory tolerance Before After

Post-Collision Measure

A car that "felt off" after a crash repair elsewhere. 3D measure caught a rail sitting out of spec — logged, reported, and put right.

Pre-Purchase Check

A buyer wanted proof a used car was straight before signing. Full measurement report, no surprises — peace of mind on paper.

Common Questions

FAQ

Can you measure before I buy a used car?
Yes — pre-purchase chassis measurement is one of the best things you can do on a second-hand vehicle with collision history. Bring the car in for an hour and you'll know exactly what you're looking at.
What's the tolerance?
Manufacturer tolerances vary, but typically anything more than 3mm out at a structural point is worth investigating. We measure against the factory data sheet for your specific make and model.
Does measurement include the repair?
No — measurement is independent. We measure, supply a report, and you decide. If you want us to repair after, we'll quote separately.

Want the truth about a chassis?

Book a measurement. We give you the numbers — you decide what to do with them.
